What's up with the Italians?

Honestly, I don't know if the idea/concept of finding the "work of your life" is somehow more important in some countries, cultures, places etc.
To me, it's just work. As long as they pay me to do something I can accept morally, I'm ok with that. Like I said, it's just work, it's just survival. I prefer to have a staple work that I don't necessary "like" instead of trying to follow my dream and struggle for the rest of my life.
I came to this conclusion because of what I dreamt when I was a kid and the impact it had on my real life, of course.
My dream was to work with animals and/or be a musician. Having a huge farm to rescue all kind of animals, play with them all day and do well payed gigs during the night.
Things took a different turn, as expected. :p

A difficulty encountered is when work that appears to be morally acceptable turns out to be otherwise. In my (happily, former) line of work I found it essential to start a day with a defined goal and end the work day when that is reached. No "just one more thing and I'll call it a day" stuff. There's always one more thing to do. Domani.

This Ferrari does look good in FY, however.

Sometimes I find that that "one more thing" opens the door to something really fascinating.
Yeah but this is a magic that can happen in creative or research jobs...
But in my job I would not expect anything too exciting or any "revelation" to happen if I do "one more thing" instead of doing it "tomorrow" :D
I save the "one more things" for my reharsal space :D

Yep. "One more thing" is pretty much a cliche/meme in my world by now. Gets an eye roll from my wife more often than not, probably with good reason. Because she knows it actually means eleven more things.

The joke goes: München is Italy's northernmost point.

Having owned several of these aircooled wonders, I understand the oersonal statement this made.

I made a statement with mine when the "Powered by Briggs and Stratton" badges.

Luckily, I survived the 70's and evolved to water cooling, 25 years before Porsche did with the Boxster and 911.

924 and 928 don't count, though the 928 and S variant was great but plagued by bean counters cheapening the final build.
