i wasnt playing that fast, i can play alot faster than what i was playing, but it was still pretty fast, like i said, pretty much double-time.

Now a serious answer,

I find most of todays teenagers are incredible human beings compared to when I was a teenager... They are compasion and charibitable. I find they are more active in causes.
They are more talented (although that has alot to do with youtube and internet..etc)
Although they are portrayed as a self involved bunch, I have to say I was in a basement getting stoned and playing dungeons and dragons when I was 14. Most teenagers think playing D&D and getting high is lame.... They like exstacy and skydiving.

I'm a teenager, but I try to keep myself out of the stereotype.

I spend a lot of my time either reading about, watching, or playing my beloved bass. =]

But I agree, there are still a lot of idiots, just like there always has been, and always will be. Its just a shame that they ruin it for the rest of us.

I was practicing with this guitar player in our church's youth room the other day and was messing around and started playing Master Of Puppets, when this girl walked in, listened to me play and then said "I can text faster than you can play." I kid you not. What the freak kind of thing to say is that? (By the way, i'm a teenager, but i have common sense not to say things that stupid)

You should have said "That's great, when the band starts playing get up here and play your phone"

To be honest, i was speechless at how stupid what she said was and when i did speak i just said 'ok, thats...nice'

I'm still trying to figure out how you could even compare the speed of texting to the speed of playing a bass. I mean you play the bass at the speed the song calls for. So unless you are doing some avant garde cover and winding up for same grand finale speed is relatively relative.
But she probably was hitting on you. I always told my daughters that the little boys that hurt them and teased them the most wanted to be thier boyfriends.
But no worry I'm 52 and I can't tell you many times a woman hit on me and I just kept goin on doin my thing and realized later I blew a chance.
