What's Your Bass/Guitar's Name?

I don't even name my snakes so no I don't name my basses.

I named my Demonator Lucille after B.B. King (named my truck Lucille as well) named my Squier "Blu", and named my ML "King"

The inspiration was all Jazz and Blues.

I didn't have to. My Rickenbacker has the name "Joel" written in pencil in the cavity under the pick guard.

Other than "Ric", not really. Even then I tend to go by their model names; 4001, 4003, L2000, and T40.

Up until recent months I had only owned the Rickenbacker 4001 for the past 15 years, so it was just "my bass" since there wasn't anything else to differentiate it from.

I always thought naming instruments was dumb, but when I first picked up my #1 all white Jazz I immediately said " Well hello there, Snowman"

Weird. My wife and I just named my new G&L 2000 "Gypsy" after a Macaw (parrot) I once had.
