What's Your Bass/Guitar's Name?

Never named any of my basses but my kids named my acoustic Taylor because I was always warning them not to touch the Taylor. So one day my youngest who was about three at the time yelled at my oldest, about 7, when she just strummed the strings, "Daddy said to don't touch Taylor". Since she had a boy in her preschool by that name she just thought that was the guitars name, not the brand.

If I did name them is would have to be after a woman though. Basses and guitars need to be handled with care too.

After thing about this for a while I think I'll name my bass Peanut Butter: Precision Bass=PB, PB=Peanut Butter. Then when I get my hand on the new MP Jag I've been eyeing I'll name that Jelly. Then if I ever get the GK rig I've been thinking about about I could name it Chunky, get a tube amp and name it creamy, and I just named my SWR amp Smooth.

my black yamaha is my first bass and my only consistant one since i started over 5 years ago now. i've unofficially dubbed it "max" recently, after we had to put our dog max down a few years back(he was a black shepherd). i figured why not let my childhood pet's name live out through my instrument of the same color.. seeing as how i probably will never part with it.

oh and also, he had a small white spot of fur on him and i recently put two racing stripes on the bass's body which are really just two strips of white medical tape. i didn't even really think about this till now but i guess they could represent that white spot... alright i'll shut up now. :smug:
