Beautiful bass, but split pickup notwithstanding, that's about as far from a P-style bass as you can get.
I have a Mike Lull PJ5. This bass sounds and feels so good, it will definitely be the last P bass I buy.

I tried one once and it outclass many many p bass of any brand in terms of sound and quality.
LsL Balboa is killer:

If one has deep pockets, I've played some really outstanding P clones from Alleva Coppolo and Olinto. Bluesman Vintage has turned out some great P's that are somewhat less expensive.
G&L's are great and affordable, as many others have noted here. I've played a few of the Legacy models that are impressive for the $.

As extensively as i play my Parts build Precision basses, & love em to death. A Non Pbass Pbass that i love, & also own, is my 75 gibson grabber. Such a midrange snarl to it, vs my many pbasses which are warmer, punchy, & full. The grabber fills plenty, but its got a bite, where the pbasses are round & refined.
