There is no doubt about it. For me it's my 32" Warmoth.

Mine G&L SB-1 is a P/J, so it doesn't technically qualify, but I think of it as my P-bass. And it rules. Honestly, I would probably prefer an SB-1 because I almost never use the bridge pickup. Seen here with a Comanche guitar, which I no longer have, and my other G&L basses. The M-2500 is a main player.

It's gratifying to see a good number of Furies in this thread. I'd take this one over just about any other Precision-style bass ever made. (Bartolini pickups.)

A Peavey Fury was my first bass back in 1993! Traded it in for a Washburn XB-400 because I wanted active electronics, lol.

This company isn't really getting its due yet, but I'm hoping it changes soon. This is my Valiant Jupiter. I bought it at NAMM so I could have a nice p bass for rounds. This thing has become my main live bass. I felt strongly enough about the product that I agreed to work for them. I am of the opinion that doing something a certain way simply because it's "the way we've always done it," is beyond silly.

I have no qualms with Fender as a company. I have several, and I think that when you consider the volume they do, they have great consistency. I've had some bad ones, but I have had way more good ones. That said, there are design elements from them that could use some modernization. Valiant comes in around the American Ultra price point for this line. It isn't cheap, but this bass has a lot more to it than meets the eye.

I love the inlayed wheel adjust, but I think the main upgrade is the titanium reinforcement on the neck. Time will tell, but the way these are placed leads mt to believe that these will never develop the ski slop at the joint that plagues some bolt-on instruments.

Don't get it twisted. I work for the company, and I do want to get the name out. That said, my love of their instruments led to my working with the company. There are a ton of other brands I love. I'm a huge Lakland fan, Reverend, Yamaha, Fender, and I will always sort of collect old Aria Pro IIs. I just think Valiant is doing work that is on par with anything on the market today.

I'm the rare player who does not have strong general opinions on tortoiseshell (or cilantro, for that matter) but I LOVE the color combination here
