What's your most versatile bass? (Include Pics!)

As of right now, I'd have to go with my Projekt Blue Jazz. Here's why…
  • Re-routed into a P/J, specifically using the Reggie Hamilton-sig Jazz "sweet spot" (best placement I've tried so far!), but could be returned to a J/J any time I choose
  • Fender Japan Precision pickup (strong, yet still smooth) and a Fender Super 55 Jazz pup (very "beefy" J-sound…split-coil, so no hum)
  • Santellan Sounds-ElekTrix Series/Parallel wiring harness (just pull the second knob into the "UP" position and bang…sounds like a whole 'nother bass!)
  • Hipshot Drop-D tuner (now if only they came in smoked chrome/black nickel…)
  • The new set of D'Addario NYXL's certainly aren't hurting it's sound either! (…but someday I might splurge a bit and treat it to a set of Thomastik-Infeld PowerBass strings)

Recently, I played an open mic night just to jam around with a friend and decided to bring my Fender Dimension IV HH. As the night went on, I was asked by a number of groups to join them on stage (since there appeared to be only 3 of us bass players in the entire crowd). The groups ranged from, Rock to R&B to Pop and I felt my trusty Dimension fit in every situation (so did the bands I played with)! So tell me TB, what's your most versitile bass?

No solo pic (I know...), but my Am. Std. Jaguar.
P+J/P/J, series/parallel, active/passive.

This reminds me of "Build Up Series" electronics suite made as a sort-of-FSR for Watanabe Music. They carried a line of Fender Japan JB62's with a preamp and harness that could switch between active/passive and series/parallel. Man-oh-man, I wish I could get my hands on one of those harnesses! drool

Here's my most versatile bass which is also my go-to bass. It's a parts bass with a Squier Jaguar body (routed and previously owned by a fellow TB'r), Squier Troy Saunders Jaguar neck, Fender Super 55 pickups, Gotoh 201 bridge, Schaller tuners, Hipshot Drop Tuner, pickup selector switches and Aguilar preamp.

My very best bass and most versatile is my Ibanez Prestige 5005. I have played some very hard rooms for bass tone and it always delivers. It has the fastest and smoothest neck of any bass I've ever played. I simply love this bass. I've owned 3 of these Prestige basses and the custom USA Bart's simply deliver. The Wenge body and neck on this beauty has so much growl and bite.
