I was wondering if anyone would bring up a stingray, I agree you can make them fit just about anywhere! It's got to be my Stingray.
Yeah, I know, only one pickup etc...
But the truth is it's the bass I find easiest and most inspiring to play, so I do better on it than on anything else... and I can make it fit into any band, so I guess that is versatile enough. No, it cannot sound like a Precision or a Jazz or... but can it sound just right playing blues, reggae, ska, funk, rock...? Yes it can. If it doesn't the problem is with the guy/girl holding the bass![]()
What bass is that? Definitely DIG IT!
Yes. I bought it used and the body was in need of a refin......so this is some of my handy workDid you refinish that SR506?
you still have plastic covers and price tag on your tuners?Recently, I played an open mic night just to jam around with a friend and decided to bring my Fender Dimension IV HH. As the night went on, I was asked by a number of groups to join them on stage (since there appeared to be only 3 of us bass players in the entire crowd). The groups ranged from, Rock to R&B to Pop and I felt my trusty Dimension fit in every situation (so did the bands I played with)! So tell me TB, what's your most versitile bass?
