Want. My dream 5-string.My very best bass and most versatile is my Ibanez Prestige 5005. I have played some very hard rooms for bass tone and it always delivers. It has the fastest and smoothest neck of any bass I've ever played. I simply love this bass. I've owned 3 of these Prestige basses and the custom USA Bart's simply deliver. The Wenge body and neck on this beauty has so much growl and bite.
I sold my custom Benavente 5 string to purchase this new from Sweetwater. I have never had a better bass. I've never had more compliments on my tone that I have when playing this bass. This is my regular setup with it and my Genzler head and 2 Genzler Array stack.

No longer in my possession, and definitely the most versatile bass I've ever owned, was my Valley Arts California Pro. Its PJ configuration had a lot of bases covered. Funny thing about selling gear when you're young is that you never think about how silly you'll feel about it when you're older.

I use this (Human Base Roxy b5).
Active / passive with tone control, series / parallel switch, 3 band EQ, pickup in the middle, everything makes it very versatile.

Here's mine. New American Precision V.
Some would argue that the simplicity of a Precision is limiting, but I have found that not to be the case. The P5 is very responsive to changes in technique, attack and dynamics. To me I feel like it truly "speaks". I fully believe that I could cover any gig with this beast.

for sure one of best looking bass I ever saw! wow!
I call it the L2505. It's an L1505, but I added another MFD pickup near the neck and added K-wiring. So now, I can do series, parallel, or single coil and then select which pickups. It can do pretty good impressions of a Stingray/Sterling, P-Bass, and Jazz Bass, along with it's own unique sound that is similar to an L2500.
