Hey AJ,

SIB's, Rick Hamel, actually makes mostly guitar oriented stuff, and has since joined forces with Mark Sampson of Matchless amps fame, to form SMF Amplification.

Rick's known for making effects pedals that run on preamp tubes for a warm glow and feel to add to your sound. i own his very cool tube driven EchoDrive, which is prolly the best echo/delay pedal i own.

I have a 1x15, (yorkville,traynor) which is 400w and has lots of low end, I have my e.q set at about 3/4 of low end. But I must admit I would love to hear what a 2x10 would sound like with it, I have a parallel speaker output.

What i use as a small rig is an ampeg B2R HEAD and 2 1x10 WM cabs and it just sounds great. We have a really nice PA so i use this for a monitor and the PA does the rest

Once upon a time a small rig was:

Sunn 2000S on an Ampeg V4B cab(2- Altec 421a 15s in a folded horn)
Marshall Major head on an Ampeg SVT
Leslie 147 cabinet.

Eden WT-400 and 2x Aguilar GS112.

I am soooo glad I went the 112 route. I have two, but use only one 90% of the time. The alternator in my van just went t**s up, and it's taking at least two weeks to get a new one shipped. I could still able to play this weekend though, since I could throw everything into a single taxi. Very convenient.

I got to use a friend's Eden WT-300 traveler with my Bergantino 112 this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could run the eden completely flat and get an unbelievable sound. What a great small rig. I'm sure a WT-550 with two Berg 112's would be killin. I've always hated that traveler but it just works with the Bergantino.
