What is yours? Mine is the Ibanez SR2010ASC - The Ashula - 4 strings fretted, 2 strings fretless.

I was on the lookout for a Blackbox Ultraviolet for all of 10 years! If I had found one for sale, it would have completed my Blackbox collection as per a vintage guitar magazine debut article from 2002. decided to stop looking (broke up the collection, but kept a couple) because it was driving me nuts after that much time... there are some ultraviolets out there though; Invalid Link Removed is for sale in korea right now...but i quit. ...there is also one (new old stock) at (link); [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
I place my fuzz faith in zvex fuzz factories now a day, but still have major respect for the ultraviolet.

'54 burst P with a straight maple neck & board at a price I can afford. Actually, a repro with a hum free pickup might be a better choice, and cheaper.

Back in the early 80's I needed a new bass and back then I had my eye on a Univox Mosrite copy, but alas it was out of my price range. I still have a fondness for them.

I have one: A Cort Model X in playable shape--mahogany (colored) wings, black racing stripes. 80's bass. It was my second bass, the first one I loved. Had intonation issues, but I refuse to remember that about it.

Old Ibanez guitar my dad bought me to learn how to play when i was 17. Found a cheap guitar for sale in the papers (no cragslist back then). Think i eventually looked up the year of manufacture and might have been 83? Ive recently looked up old ibanez guitar catalogs and dont find any that resemble it. Had a nice tremolo system and extra tuning at the bridge. Was stolen with my car when i was 20. Now that im older and have seen alot of gear man do i wish i could play that again. Or atleast find out what guitar model it actually was to buy another one just like it.

Had one off Ebay once for a steal price, but unfortunately it had been stored in a cellar and through moisture had actually warped the neck so bad, even Gerald Marleaux said it was unclear whether it was salvagable (it was a neck through) so I had to make the seller give me a refund (sold as good working condition) but I still think of it...

They are around but usually in a price segment i cannot afford at this time, would have been so great to catch one cheap of the old bay but I had to chuck it back in ; )

I did some recording work back in the late 80's at a studio in Newark. One one particular session the engineer suggested that I try the "house bass". I remember them bringing out this HUGE case. Inside was a Gibson Explorer that must've been 15lbs. Rusty strings and all that bass tracked amazingly well for what we were doing. Major bottom and major definition.....I don't doubt that I could find it less than ideal these days, but I still think about it.
