When mere words fail...Fender Custom Shop

Well you know, Fender wants to be a lifestyle brand . . . . if I put the bass in the passenger seat of the 911 Carrera 4, nobody can go with me, so I suppose I'll have to trade it in on a Cayenne to get the bass, the amp, and the drummer to the gig.

Back in the real world, someone will buy these, treasure them, and lose their shirt if they ever go to move them out. It's a lifestyle, you know?

good chance they're already sold, lol

Yeah, Fender probably wouldn't have made them unless they knew they had guaranteed sales to collectors lined up. It was kind of a similar situation when they made ~50 $25,000 EVH replicas. Long, long ago I worked at the Boston Guitar Center, which had one of those on the wall. Guy calls in, he wants to buy it, but there's a catch . . . he wanted three of them. So the store sourced two more from other stores and got him his $75,000 guitar purchase.
