Yes - that is essentially the idea behind it. This type, however is a bit firmer that their other model (which I believe is the 8011), so there is some variance of tone between the different types. I also like to use them on my basses with no pickguard, such as the Rickenbacker 4004, as there is much less possibility of scratching the playing surface. I'm not by any means an avid pick player but I like having them available for tunes that call for that type of articulation that only a pick a can deliver.Well, I learned something new today. I thought this was a joke as I'd never heard or seen a 'felt' pick. Are these designed to mimic the warmth and roundness of finger style?
Same here - 1.0 mm. I have big hands and I feel like I have a solid grip on them when I play.
