When's the last time you cried unexpectedly?

I'll go first.

They put out a Power Rangers movie on Netflix with much of the original cast. It was pretty cool to see, every bit as campy and corny as it was back when i was 9 years old. It was awesome.

i was explaining callbacks and inside jokes to my wife, much to her delight ;)

Anyway. At the end of the movie they played a clip from one of the original episodes where they were all singing and playing acoustic guitar. Many of the now-deceased cast members were focused on.

I cried uncontrollably for the next 20 minutes. Nothing but a heap of bawling man on the bedroom floor.

Surely I can't be the only person this has happened to:)

For me, nothing tugs at the heartstrings more than seeing an animal suffer. I watch a lot of the veterinarian shows (Dr Pol, Critter Fixers, Heartland Docs), and anytime they have to euthanize a pet, well, that's when I need to reach for a kleenex.

Ditto during those ASPCA commercials showing suffering and abused animals. :crying:

I probably won't sob out loud at my parents' funerals, but that opening sequence in the Pixar movie Up sure got me.

Coincidentally, I just watched this movie on DVD last weekend on a recommendation from a friend who said it was one of the best animated films ever.

That silent married sequence between Carl and Ellie really broke me up. I was certainly not expecting that from a Pixar movie.

That is some genius level storytelling that sets up the rest of the movie to make you truly sympathize with Carl and understand his motivations.

I have this weird thing where I'm talking to my gal about art or a piece of music and find myself getting emotional as I describe the piece or performance.

Similar here. Usually my crying isn't unexpected. I know I'll cry when I have to euthanize a beloved pet, for example. But once in a while, a song or a movie will catch me, not because it's sad, but because it's so beautiful.

Oh man, yeah I can't even watch those commercials. I turn away immediately. Fair warning: don't want guardians of the galaxy vol 3 its terrible

I used to get what Tony described, but now I have this weird thing where I'm talking to my gal about art or a piece of music and find myself getting emotional as I describe the piece or performance.

Very strange.

Not that strange, happens to me too. I feel like it's an old part of myself whose long been forgotten and we have a tearful reunion whenever a key part of his history is brought to bear

I'm a Renal transplant patient. The anti rejection drugs have a tendency to spring the blues upon me and sometimes, I'll find myself bawling my eyes out and spending the day in bed or on the couch, unable to face the world. It takes a while before reality of the situation sets in and life returns to some level of normality.
Once you realise it's the drug side effects,
