where are jazz basses in the mix?

I find jazzes have more subs and highs with both pickups on. Compared to the p bass it can sound a bit more “clean” or you could say p basses are more open, dirty and honky sounding. I think it’s not just frequencies but the two pickup sound itself. It’s the same phenomenon on a tele guitar for example. It’s a cool sound for sure!
