Does your bass have the EMG HZ pups, Jauco?
Never heard of them. Just looked them up, found their website and was reading how they touted on being "minimalist" and all and the bass itself looked decent. But not 5900 dollars decent!I think they need to rethink their market strategy.
Yeah, Tom Bowlus (Bass Gear Magazine) was having a hard time saying they suck for $5,900 without actually saying they suck. Oh, they sound good, but he says they have cheap pickups and electronic components, and a non-durable finish. They are upgrading the finish on the newer ones. He also thinks that, at that price, they should throw a defeatable preamp in there. They have a kind of cool name though.

That $6000 is the list, street is gonna be below $4000, $3-3500, IIRC.
And they will use different pickups if you want, and put in a preamp.

From what I've seen, most of the "innovation" in these basses could be traced to stuff that Bunker/PBC's been doing for a long time.
