Where are you right now?

On a small ferry heading home after a 13 day shift...

I am currently sitting at my desk 1152 feet from the USA/Canada border (on the Canadian side).
Heading across the line tomorrow to do some shopping. The tiny town over there (five minutes walk from the border crossing) is actually SMALLER than my tiny Canadian town (~5,000 there versus ~7,000 here) but as usual they have five times the selection of everything from hardware to groceries. I really miss living in the USA...

On my back porch. Thankful I’m up in the woods at the end of a long dirt road that no cars and only a few trucks can negotiate, when it’s dry. If it’s wet and you don’t have a stout 4wd with good ground clearance, rotsa ruck GI.
I tried to emigrate to Canada, and then Australia, but I’m old and cripple and they want young and vital. So I guess like it or not, I’ve got a ringside seat.
Just chilly enough for a hoodie, and calling for low 30’s by the first of the week. It’s going to be a long hard winter.

Oh man! In the house at 10 AM in Columbus, Ohio. Outside temp is 5 degree with a below zero wind chill. Looks like we got a little less that one inch of snow last night.

Gonna be cold, cold, cold until about Wednesday around 1 PM. Predicted high of 17.........OUCH!

I'm retired. Staying inside!

I missed the eagles playoff game. Love watching snow games. I am going to try to find a rerun of tha game.
It was a great game and worth watching. It went down to the wire. The Bills Ravens game was down to the wire as well. Very entertaining football.

RE?: Snow Games

Snow does make it interesting, but truth be told, I miss the mud bowls. Nothing like a game at Cleveland Municipal stadium with that muddy infield. After a quarter of play the numbers on the Jerseys were covered, which is why teams started to put numbers on the helmets. Anyway, in those conditions the game slowed down and brute strength ruled the day.
