Nobody in their right mind would pay that much for a power cord.
I'd guess nearly any Best Buy or Radio Shack would sell a decent power cord.
still saddened that victor wooten endorses this crap. it has lowered my respect for him quite a bit. jaco wouldve never done this to us.
Look for a hospital approved cable. Their a little thicker gauge, and the ends are sealed. Other than that , any std computer cable will work fine. Power cable is a power cable.
I can't believe all those testimonials for that $200 power cable. Some people will do anything for an endorsement and/or money! I'd love to give every one of them a blind A/B test with that thing.

Don't forget to upgrade the wiring in the walls of wherever you plug the amp into, along with all the power lines going back to the substation in the area.

So long as the wire gauge is adequate for the current load it doesn't matter what it looks like.

Plenty of wire for any bass amp, good quality, and not stupid expensive. I use one with my TC RH450, as well as my tube microphone preamps in my recording rack.

You could always make your own. IEC connectors are inexpensive, and you can choose the gauge and length of cable.
I made mine from Wattgate IEC and 15a Edison ends which I bought from Parts Express: the #1 source for audio, video & speaker building components. Then I bought about 12' of 10/3 cable from Lowes or Home Depot. It's a good happy medium between Audiophile and the molded cables we commonly see.
Haunt your local flea market the way I do, I found a 15', 14ga 15A cord for a dollar. It pays to be a scrounger...no more extension cords for me!

For my two bass amps and PA head I picked up some heavy duty cables from Ack Electronics in Atlanta. You should have some sort of custom electronics supply around you somewhere. I think I paid like 15 20 bucks for 12 gage cables and I can tell they are built well.
I'm not crazy about the cheesy ones that come with most gear. Yeah mine are prolly overkill but I prefer that to underkill.
I also have a 20 foot extension cord I built from 10 gage SO cord with an industrial grade surge protector built on the side of a 4 gang box with heavy connectors. If I need some extra cord I use that. Again a little overkill.
Also note the amount of insulation between the wires is important as well. Compare what comes stock with QSC power amps and the same conductor size wire from a cheapo cord. The more insulation the greater amperage the cable can handle.
