where did your band name come from?

after looking through the band logo post, I have to wonder where your band names originated.

ours is pretty simple, I was addicted to World of Warcrack for awhile and Cloak of Shadows is one of the Rogues abilities.
someone on another forum was looking for band names and i listed a bunch of stuff and this one stuck out to me so I kept it for our band. I'll probably get sued by Blizzard games for some kinda copywrite violation :rolleyes:

We'd just had a pretty radical member shake-up and the remaining founding members -- the drummer, myself, and the publicist/manager/#1 fan/sometimes singer of songs aka the "Band Mom" -- decided to shut-down that band and start over.

So at out last show, we held a contest and we judged the entries. Raffled off a bottle of Crown Royal to the winning entry that we picked. They got a fifth of liquor, we got a name, and March of Dimes got the money!

It's been our band name for about 2 years now, thru several iterations of members.

My band name came from Tom (Rhythm Guitar)

Reading something about Epic Movie and seeing something on t.v. about Row boats, lol.

Spawning, Epic Row.

My other band was Injustice Daydream,

Singer came up with that one, no idea how.

Being from a mostly blues-based background, I recognized the inference immediately when I first saw it (Hoochie Coochie Man comes to mind off the bat).

For the record, IMO, it's one of the coolest band names ever. If you weren't using it, I probably would!

But, if you were just a bit further away from me, I'd prolly just steal it any way:D

The band I'm currently playing with consists of a group of people from work and we are preparing to enter the Fortune Corporate Battle of the Bands.

I work for a large insurance company (not AIG) and the name of the band is "No Bailout Required!"

'Nuff said! :smug:

My band's name is The Conniptions, which means a fit of rage or hysteria, and sure suits a rock and roll image. I had this name for a long time but never used until we formed this band 8 years ago and everybody loves the name. It is catchy, short, suits the band, peopl know what it means, and everybody regionally remembers when they were a kid acting up and their mother would say, "Now, don't have a conniption."

Well my main band's name is my band leaders name.

The band I play in for fun with some friends...........We had been debating names for about 4 months (usually while in altered states) and one night we wound up at IHOP.

Someone started up with band names and I said,"Look,I've had it up to here with figuring out a band name. You can call the band *$*^*$% MOJOFROMOPOLIS for all I care!"

So,we are MOJOFROMOPOLIS:rolleyes:
