Where do you place your compressor???

BTW, you may want to look at this FAQ written by our own compressor guru bongomania. http://www.ovnilab.com/articles/chain.shtml
Read that and to summarize, "if you have a big, diverse board there is no correct answer."

I'm not the OP, but I'm going to try and piggyback on this thread. I finally got a compressor pedal (Fairfield Accountant) on my board. Have a variety of boxes (OD, octave, synth, filter, fuzz, phaser, delay). I do a lot of stacking for pads and synth sounds. This will be an (almost) always on pedal. Leaning towards end of chain. Currently have it right before delay and after phaser. Would love some insight from those running similar configurations and with similar sonic goals. Not my first compressor, but the first time I've not been limited to a rack position. These location options are new to me.

Mine is first, which does weird things to the envelope follower on my Xero, but whatever, I hate the super dated cheesy sound of envelope filters anyway, not trying to troll here... The Xero just gets used for static dubby stuff and expression pedal sweeps.
