Which bass are you getting next?

While I’ve got no money for basses period, that hasn’t stopped me from looking. In an ideal world, one in which I had money, I’d buy a Modulus Q6, as I love my Q4 and want to try a 6 string, a Modulus FU4, a Stingray 4, and/or have one custom built by the parents of one of my good friends. Sadly, the world isn’t perfect...

Either:
• A p, to encourage playing better with less options, rather than changing tones all the time.
• A fretless, a 5(+) string, an active bass or an ABG to experiment and have "appropriate" basses for different gigs (I currently have all passive 4 strings- a mex jazz, epi tbird and Cort p/j)
• A Warwick Custom Shop Corvette $$ (in an ideal world where student debt isn't a thing).

we stopped in at pasadena guitar center today, and i spent the entire visit playing a torino red mustang bass. unless there are big changes in the universe, it - or the seafoam green model - will be my next bass.

Capri Orange is coming soon I've got my eye on one of those mustangs as well, although a Mikro and my long-ordered NG-2 are on the much closer horizon.

my next bass will be the Kala U-Bass fretless. I love my Tacoma but, I think are going to start charging me extra to take the beast on public transportation here in Tokyo...

That bass is amazing. Played it in my local music store and fell in love with it.

Not planning to buy any more basses at the moment but I'd go for something totally different like a fretless or a fan fret, or possibly a short-scale.

I am at a place were I have found my 4 basses that are staples and that's it. The only bass I would even want and it is solely because of the beauty is a Wyn build. But I am still years away on the wait list

I've got 15 basses and have taken to distributing them around to friends and family in case a jam breaks out.

But.....a fretless Eastwood Classic IV tempts me. 30.5", semi-hollow fretless, mmmmmmm.

Heard some dodgy quality issues, though. So maybe not. Already have the worlds best fretless in my stable anyway, Drake Cricket.

I have a Reissue I picked up at my luthier getting a new trussrod and some fretwork - it was pretty clean, though - and he does outstanding work... It looks pretty much like this:



Although I'm considering doing something like this with it, but keeping the pickup original:

Regarding the OP - about the only thing I'd like to add to my modest collection is a Spector 4 string - I have pretty much everything else I really want...
