'94 Gretsch G6119B.JPG You didn't give me the option, but... I vote "Carrot colored" anyway...:whistle:

But, sonic Blue is nice, IMO...:thumbsup:

No. Not a fan of matching headstocks.

I voted Surf Green. I personally have owned (ignoring pickup type and slight variation depending on the manufacturer) rosewood and matching headstock, rosewood plain headstock, maple and matching headstock (all bought used). After 3 failed tries, I’ve concluded I like maple and plain headstock best for surf green.

I'll be turning the big 5-0 in December and want to treat myself to a new bass.. Some features/specs I have ironed out. The biggest issue right now will be color..

Concrete specs
Jazz 5 string
@Nino Valenti will build it
Alder body
21 fret rosewood fretboard
35" scale
Chrome Hipshot B style bridge and hardware
19mm spacing
Passive

But what color??? I want to stay with the 60's Fender palatte. I've narrowed it down to three;

Surf Green,

Sonic Blue

or Dakota Red

Which would you choose??

Before i joined the Corps my favorite color was any shade of green. When i got out i was more in to blue but only the really deep shades like navy and nightwatch.
That said in this situation i’m gonna second @two fingers, throw three slips in a hat and let a loved one decide your fate. Not only will you get a great color but it will also add another layer of positive emotion to your milestone event.

Oh man. Either red or surf green. My first instinct was red, but the more I look at green, the more I like it.

EDIT: Go with red.

EDIT 2: No, go with green.

EDIT 3: I don't know... help.

EDIT 4: I think I'm leaning towards red. A nice black pickguard would be great. The surf green is just a tad too blue for my taste.
