Which Fender Sunburst do you prefer?

I also voted C, but this is my favorite burst. And I personally love the gold anodized with this particular burst.

Classic three-tone for me please (A), I like a good amount of yellow in the center surrounded by a thick band of black/brown and red. That first pic about nails it.

I like B or C. I want no yellow in the color because when it looks like A I think about cheap plywood guitars for some reason.

This. A gives me a flashback to the crappy guitars at Sears in the 60's.

I voted for B, but would be hard pressed to ever buy a burst bass of any sort.

My favorite is when there are three distinct colors without a lot of blending Black, Red, and Bright Yellow. I guess the closest would be A

I liked the "A" group the best. For my taste, I like an equal amount of black, red and yellow with a smooth transition of colors. I suspect that sunburst finishes are more of an art than a science so they tend to be as unique as snowflakes.

Being a Fender fanboy and lover of 3 tone sunbursts, my fav is the first one, that Fender Jazz.

I much prefer a tobacco, cherry, or honey burst to the black, orange, yellow sunburst. Not that there's anything wrong with sunburst, just preference.

Under duress, B. Not a fan of any of them, really. I'm not much for (sun)bursts in general, although there's the occasional exception to the rule, like some tobacco bursts.

I too, am not a burst fan, but I do like the darker bursts, too much yellow can go the way of "vintage Fender" or "cheap-o" really easy.

Antigua. Looked great when new back in the '70's. Looked like a black and white photo of a sunburst finish. Nearly forty years later they yellow into Nauseaburst. Maybe they'll reissue it.

I like more of a transparent honey yellow (that shows off the wood grain) than solid school bus yellow, with a smooth blending to red (not a straight line) and a gradual fade to black. My '68 P is like that. My '66 Jazzmaster looks like choice A, which in my opinion looks cheap and cheesy.

I like the opaque yellow and bright red of the original fender 3 tone burst. I'm so glad fender finally got that right on the newest reissue series. It drives me nuts that my classic 60s jazz lacquer has the transparent yellow, but I'm a huge fan of wood grain on everything except guitars and basses. Yeah, I'm weird.

A. A. A. I want this back. I want a body like this, and I also want one with a REAL seafoam green finish (not that puke green PJ special that hit Guitar Center recently. Thing's a dog).

I can't even tell where the 3rd color is in modern 3 tsb finishes anymore.

Edit: Does anyone know where to get inexpensive Fender bodies with this finish? I know I could get Warmoth to do it, but I'm talking cheap. I got a couple of half projects that might benefit.
