Would you be of the opinion that there are only two options for short scale 5-string flatwound sets? La Bella and Dunlop?
I don't know enough about all the possible options. The Dunlops are great, I know that.
I also play with a wide variety of right hand plucking. I often use my nails but keep them short enough to disengage them for a softer sound. Lots of palm muting. Pick.
I don't play as hard as I may on other longer scale basses. I'm fine with that.
A bass so I expensive that works so well with the right strings. I'm still pleasantly surprised.
