Which is best?

My band plays Karnivool covers and music that are a bit like Karnivool, which of these heads are best to have a realy clean tone in combination with a Ampeg SVT810:

Ashdown ABM 900 EVO - 3
Ampeg SVT3 Pro
Gallien Krueger Fusion 550

Thanks! :smug:

I never heard of Karnivool- can you post a link to some of their tracks? Also if you are looking for "really clean" in general I wouldn't get a head with a tube preamp. There are many exceptions, but if I was on a moderate budget and my mission was "really clean", I would mostly be looking for solid state preamp stages in the heads.

In the first video the bassist is using a Peavey Firebass (most likely anyway, could be a nitrobass, looks too big to be a deltabass). Laterly the Firebass was renamed the Max700

Why not go for one of those?

Its a good amp, plenty of power, pretty good clean ton, really cheap.

Only downside is its weight, however, as it weighs about half what my SVT does, I dont complain!
