oh and can you tell us more about that lovely orange truck :) ???

I'd love to.

The truck is a 1966 Chevy that myself, my father and the guitarist in the 3 piece band I'm in restored over 18 months beginning in August of 2004. It is a C-10 Custom cab, fleetside with the big back window cab. The truck was taken completely apart and everything either cleaned and repainted or replaced. It has a 327 Chevy engine dressed to the nines, a 700R4 automatic trans with overdrive, front disc brakes added, A/C added, tilt steering added, power windows added, side vent windows removed, stake pockets on the bed filled, 10-disc Kenwood CD controller and changer with 4 Kenwood speakers. The colors are PPG Monarch Orange and PPG Vanilla Shake with the Vanilla Shake carrying over into the interior. The truck is lowered 4.5" in the front and 5" in the rear. Oh, and it has hauled my bass and amp. Once.:D

how're the seats :D?

Kept the original bench seat, replaced the foam with high density foam as used in modern seats (the 1966 foam felt more like a sponge, a very soft sponge) then covered them with desert tan tweed, as are the RodDoors door panels, kick panels and visors. Tan carpet covers the floor and the guages are aftermarket TPI-Tech housed in a polished billet cluster housing. It's comfy.

how about a really nice picture with you posing next to the truck :D ????

Here's one taken just after I had completed the engine freshening. You can see the truck is a long way from being done in this one. It wasn't even all apart yet. I still look like a bass player, even covered in grease.:rollno: The engine stayed on that stand covered in plastic for a few months. I have some of me with the truck after completion, but not on my computer. BTW, this should complete the thread derailment!

I shouldn't really even have to post the answers. It never ceases to amaze me as to how well you guys and girls know your basses. The poll is accurate with the majority of those voting making the correct choice, #4. Alright meev992, you were right.

1st Clip - American Precision w/D'Adarrio Chromes
2nd Clip - American Deluxe Jazz V w/Fender Rounds
3rd Clip - Schecter Studio 5 w/D'Adarrio Chromes

Thanks to those who participated.
