"My neck is ruler flat"!
Really? How's that workin' out for you?
Maybe what you mean to say is "My eyes can't discern the tiny variation from flat in my fretboard".

Just a question - you don't feel that holding the string against the neck at the first and last frets, and various combinations in between, amounts to confirming that it's ruler flat? Yes, it could be convex, but we'll assume here that people are smart enough to have checked that. Flat means that it may not be perfectly smooth, but it does mean that the overall surface is the same height at all tested points, which can then be smoothed to plot a chart of the neck's curvature, which would show it as being as flat as if drawn with a ruler.

Ruler flat is a real thing. My fretless is ruler flat - confirmed and tested by string and by, shockingly enough, a ruler. Ok, a professional straight edge for graphic design that's a meter long, but a ruler all the same.

I'm not disputing your dislike for the term LoL, just wondering why it bothers, since it actually is true in some people's cases?

Yea, actually, someone else mentioned this one.

"Broke the internet". It's an incredibly inaccurate statement, and one that drives me nuts. The younger generation is supposed to actually have more knowledge of how technology works, not a shockingly poor understanding of how it works. "Broke the internet" has come, unfortunately, to mean that someone's social media post got a ton of views. It's that simple, and that incorrect in it's meaning. UGH. Youngsters LoL
