I've actually seen those PG's on a 3TS Jazz Bass and it does indeed look really good; I just don't have one, but I'm considering getting one, I do like the look a lot, Thanks

Tort, but not that one. A good tort. That looks like a colour photocopy of a piece of salami.
I Totally Agree, You're Absolutely Right, THAT particular tort guard is a cheap POS that I used just for the comparison pic, I would never use THAT tort guard on my Bass, I would actually get a REAL Dark Brown tortoiseshell pickguard if I were to go with tort. (NOT the "reddish" looking one) ... Which seems to be hard to find for some reason. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity; How many say Tortoiseshell? How many say White? How many say Black for this particular Bass? View attachment 4974548

Let me preface this by saying there are torts, and there are torts. A tort need to match the instrument under them. I'm not so sure the redish hue of the sunburst matches this particular tort. So, not being big on white PGs
, my vote is for Black.

 Where can I get a GOOD 3 ply Matte Black (5 string) Jazz Bass pickguard? Thanks

I could only find a single ply matte for my Jazz. I know 3ply must exist for a 5 string tho...On another bass. i used really fine steel wool, and lightly rubbed all that shine off and it looks great.
