Which Pickguard choice?

fake anodized! So there's no tiny sound difference that will drive you insane!

I haven't noticed any real difference in sound caused by the anodized gold pg. I've actually hoped for the opposite, with the extra grounding from metal. Btw, here's a shot of gold on 3T sunburst, for which I think it's well suited:

Black or white pearloid will work ok I guess. Just be careful with the Tort for science has now proved it is the reason for the 60 cycle hum.

(I believe) Tortoiseshell was the very first pickguards that came with 3TS Precision and Jazz Basses (if I'm not mistaken), but for some reason A LOT of people really have a disdain or hatred for them; at the same time, a lot of people swear by them. For me personally, everyone of my Basses (that requires) a pickguard, is either Black or Tortoiseshell (real tort, unlike the one I posted in the original post).

I normally like sunburst/rosewood/tort. However, I voted black because given the lighting in these pics, the black looked best. Also, that particular pattern of tort didn't really go with that particular style of sunburst. not all are created equal. just my .02

Regular Fender tortoise or black.
