Which Pickguard choice?

Tort, but not that one. A good tort. That looks like a colour photocopy of a piece of salami.
Try Smoked or Bronze Clear, if there's no rout behind it. Lends a touch of class and you don't see that many. It'll give opportunity for that 'burst to show through.
Oh, that's tough. I'm partial to the tort, or the black.

I have had all three on a 4 string sunburst jazz.
The original was was white, second was black & currently is fitted with tort.
It wasn't until I fitted the tort one that I felt it looked the best.

the white is usually the default they throw on every jazz bass across the planet...the salami tort is horrid...the black is stealthy and slick, i prefer them in a matte finish too.
I'm going with "white" -- I have a thing where I like the pickguard to match the fretboard inlays.
The exception is on a white/cream/ivory or pastel solid (think Daphne Blue, Surf Green, Shell pink, etc), in which case I like Tort. Example below:

Once someone said they look like salami I can't have one.
Tortoise shell OR, may I suggest, White/cream pearloid?
Tort, but not salami tort. Even at lunchtime, which is now.
