I had 2 pickguards made by Virgil @ WD Music and I'm trying to choose between the 2.
Probably going to sell whichever one I install permanently, I always tell myself I'm going to keep both and switch them out but never do.
What say you TalkBass?

Thanks jd56hawk. I think the L-2000 looks great with a PG. Beautiful bass, almost ordered the blue.
You're welcome.
I’m just glad WD can make the proper pickguard. People do ask from time to time.
The 5-string pickguard just doesn't look right with the extra space to accomodate the wider pickup. I've seen quite a few of them, too.
Did they custom make yours based on a tracing? Last time I checked, they only had the template for the 5-string version.

Yes jd56hawk, I sent Virgil a tracing I got from TalkBass member mdlewis and sent it off to WD.
There was a bit of a gap at the top where it meets the neck and I had to heat the PG to scootch it into place so the template Virgil has is not perfect.

I like the look of the black pickup against a lighter pick guard. especially when there's more than one pickup. I just ordered an antique pearl white for my stingray HH. Looking forward to the change from the darker pick guard.

But much like you... all it takes is a few screws and it looks like you have a completely different bass.
