Which Schecter is the best

+1 to what EagleMoon said.
I scored a good deal on my Model T and a once-in-a-lifetime deal on a Riot when those basses were first released. The deals dont come up everyday but hwne they do, you;ll probably find something that works for you!!

If you can find one, the 09 Riots are superb. They come in either a wenge or maple burl top with a satin finish. They're neck thru with a string thru or top loadable bridge with emg-hz pickups. They also sound amazing.

The 2010 riots are basically the same, except for the woods/finishes. The '10s have high gloss finishes in brown, cherry and I want to say blue. These too are top notch.

Sadly it seems the Riot was turned into a budget model for 2011 but I haven't had the chance to play one. All I know is the 2011s are bolt-ons with a cheaper looking bridge and Schecter pickups. Also, the finishes are kinda boring, with solid high-gloss black and a high-gloss metallic (glittery) blue. Despite those changes, however, it may still be a pretty bangin' bass.

As for the basses you mentioned, of the Stiletto models availble, my favorites are the Studio (of which I own a 6-string) or the Elite (soooo pretty, with all the goodness of a neck-thru Stiletto). Though maybe I just have a neck-thru bias :P (although, the Custom is so damn pretty I can get over the bolt-on neck).

Unfortunately, I too have never seen or played an Omen in person.

I do appreciate the replies and the advice from everyone. Thanks guys. I played a used Omen at my local GC the other day. I found the neck to be a bit chunky for my tastes and I didn't really prefer the feel of the Raiden either. I've chosen the Stiletto Extreme 4 for my next bass.

I loved the feel, sound, and overall build of the bass. I am sure it will fit my playing style and my musical needs well. Thanks again for all of the input on this. Rock on, my bass player brothers!

That depends. if you want a schecter bass that can provide a thick smooth sound, the stiletto extreme would be a good choice for that. if you want if you want a schecter bass provides spector-like punchy sound, the omen extreme would be a good choice for that. I plan to buy a schecter stiletto extreme 4-string bass myself. I plan to buy this bass for my brother's band.

Stiletto extreme-4.

Incredible bass out of the box and cheap. Looks amazing, sounds awesome, is very versatile and plays like a dream with worn out dead flats. I would only change 3 things about mine though. Make it a string through body, make the battery easy to access, and a bone nut. Other than those 3 things, it's like the perfect woman: curvy, sexy in red, likes it rough and doesn't complain about squat.

I picked up my '04 Schecter off CL for $100. After a teeny little neck adjustment, about 6 hours of elbow grease to clean off the gunk, and a new set of strings, I was having a mad case of lust that hasn't worn off yet. I've gotten tons of compliments on the sound everywhere I've played it.

Schecter quality is fantastic. I fell in love with a Diamond P5 on eBay and found a local store (NOT GC) that had one. The set up was fantastic. Not one flaw anywhere. I ordered a Model T through the same dealer and expect the same quality when it arrives.

The dealer told me Schecters are assembled in Asia, inspected and set up by California techs, then the local guy takes a gander.

Since I am growing more anxious daily waiting on the Model T, I GASed a 1993 G&L L2000 fretless for $500! Plays like a dream but it's metallic purple. I'm partying like it's 1999.

Check out the Riot 4. Not the deluxe. Same Day is running this one in Black Cherry for $347.00 (List $1000+, Sells for $480 everywhere). GC and all of the other big sellers will price match. This model is a neck through with EMG's. Not that price should be the deciding factor but this is pretty hard to beat. I just ordered one yesterday sight unseen.
