which speaker?

:help: when I bought an Ashdown abm evo II 500 rig, I tought the 4x10 expensive ashdown speaker would hold up against an engl 120 watt and a jcm 900 anniversary, both with 4x12 inch. We play metal oriëntated music so I need a HUGE bottom in my sound. The the amp does it well, but 4x10 inch gets very very boomy: when the sound is dialed in, the sound is gone at 50% of the desired volume level. :crying:
When I use my hartke cab as well, the effect decreases, but the ashdown stays boomy and the hartke does it well. But the power is at 85% of the desired target.:bawl:
The amp has a sub out, to separate the lows, should I buy an 18 inch to run it trough my hartke 3500? (cause i need a LOT of low power that stays stabile) or a 6x10 from mesa of swr? The ampeg 6x10 inch is not powerful enough either, i checked it. The amp is small but it's a real beast if you can push it to your limit. so...:help: me out to give me a wall of sound
Thank you
