Who do you use to insure your instruments

Put a rider on your property /casualty policy (homeowner's or renter's) listing your instruments for professional use. You will need to make a list and value each item on the list. Will add a few dollars in premium, but well worth the peace of mind.

For those of us who buy, sell, and trade frequently, it is important to provide your agent with updated lists when new items are added or dropped from your inventory.

Simple as this. Hope this is helpful.

Be very careful with what you are buying as insurance and make certain that it is what you think it is. Most homeowners'/renters' policies will gladly add a rider listing your gear and gladly take your premium money for them. But if it leaves the house for a gig (and whether you get paid is immaterial for this) they won't cover the loss. You have to specify that it is exposed to that risk and be insured for that. Don't assume it's covered because the agent took your money.
My ex was an underwriter for a very large insurance company (based in the STATE illinois in the middle of FARM country) and they wouldn't cover professional gear, but would add the rider listing them.

This is originally what happened to me with that company the took my money then later I found out my stuff wasn't covered luckily not the hard way

But thank you all I found a company and my stuff is covered I appreciate all of your help and insight
