LOL. It's a Sherwood green 2001 vintage 4. I've never "cleaned" the Sadowsky before with anything more than the Sadowsky-provided cloth with maybe a little water or spit first. :D

Great pix, everybody!!!

Man, I need to get a digital camera to post a picture of my J baby - the only bass I gig with currently and the only one I kept in my great J Bass selloff of '90-'91. She's definitely not the fanciest, but she's got tons of character, with my pickguard artwork and the wear patterns on it.

I've got a whole bag full of 35mm camera gear, but ya don't just pull a roll of Provia out of the fridge to snap a quick web pic :(

At one point I owned four - and three of them were identical at first glance! :eek:

I guess J lovers appreciate the subtle variations. It's a Fender thing, ya know - a fair bit of variation between seemingly identical instruments.

funkster i hate you! just joking ,you have an awesome fender line-up :bawl: me i have a mex j/bass but its hooked up nicely, one would not know by the sound ,and MY favorite is my j/bass special from JAPAN, this bass plays as well as any american out there and best of all she's MINE! i think i will go play her right now damn it!:bassist:

And I feel kind of guilty about having a Sadowsky 4 string jazz and new Sadowsky 4 string PJ! :( It's really so excessive for my needs. But G.A.S. strikes again.

They may "look" basically the same and sound drastically different. That's one reason.


I wish I had a Jazz bass:(

I definitely love the jazz bass sound. My search for the ultimate 5-string jazz tone pretty much ended when I got my F Bass. It doesn't look like a jazz, but the tone is there in spades. Now if I could just play like Marcus Miller, I'd be set. I would post a sound clip, but it would probably make everyone cry (yes, I'm that bad).
