Who has the largest bass collection here?

Oh youre single then. I do know one guy whose girl isnt a musician (thats the exception) and loves him collecting gear. A keeper.

I think I'm up to about 15 mostly basses and a handful of guitars. I would never say I'm "done" but I think I'm done for a while... I've run out of space for them... My wife has been a saint for putting up with my constant gas!

Yes, in truth, I could do everything I need to do musically with just my MIA fender jazz... I did for years. But I also subscribe to the notion of "no two basses that do the same thing"... For now I have the means to own this many instruments, and I like variety. All of my basses get plenty of play both on and off stage. Would I like more? Yes. Do I need more? Absolutely not. Will I have more in the future? The Magic 8 ball says" my sources say yes"

My last count in 2012, I owned over 60 guitars (Electric, Acoustic, lap steel, and dobro) over the decades. 5 were stolen (2 in travel, 4 from a burgler), 3 of them were recovered. Now I'm down to 1 acoustic, 1 electric, and 2 bass. The only regret was selling a Martin 00028, and my first Gibson Les Paul.

I have around 20, which is about 15 more than I actually need. To restring them all with my moderately priced strings I use, it would run over 700.00 bucks......

I've got 28 including one acoustic upright and one electric plus one more purchase on the way (Dean Stylist Cabbie). What's disturbing is that I've purchased or built all of these in only about 4 1/2 years.

I was feeling guilt for having twenty something , and a friend mentioned having just under eighty guitars. There's only a couple I'd consider selling right now. I seem to buy about one a year.
