not an exact count in years but well over 100, closer to 140 after thinning the herd about 15 last 2 years. amp count is about 20 ish

I've owned more at one time in the past, but I really have no interest in owning more than 2 or 3 basses.
However, I love basses and they are cool as hell.
I love seeing people's family pics on here and vicariously enjoy the big collections owned by others.
I'm a minimalist, but there's nothing wrong with someone who owns dozens of basses. For me, though, when I used to own multiple guitars and basses, it got to be more of a chore than a pleasure just keeppin them maintained, stored properly, etc. No thanks.

I have two functional basses that I use all the time. One is my SX shortscale J that I only play at home and dont care if it gets dinged up.
The other is my custom Stambaugh shortie J that only comes out of the case at gigs/rehearsals.
6..... I want a couple more....but gotta sane for em. I have nothing I want to sell..they all rock.

If I had the space and money I would be Bass Hoarding King. I have always dreamed of coming across a bunch of basses in the desert like in that old Fleetwood Mac video, I wish I could remember the name
Im low on the poll myself with only 4 .. dont even know why I got 4 .. some things are hard to justify
