wow, thats nuts. why? the strings on my main bass have been on since 2008. 2-3 practices a week and lots of gigs and 3 recording sessions. new strings sound like ass. i only change 'em if one breaks, also i have 11 basses and 2 guitars. there are like 10 more basses i'd like, and a few guitars too.

I never go more than two months on a player and 6 months on a closet queen.
At one time (when touring) I had over 250... never more than 10 in one location.
Funny thing 90% of them were identical (exactly identical)

Currently seven basses. I don't really want any more, but I need another bass just for gigging in one band. (Squire CV Jazz Bass)

Wow, I'm curious...how does one sell around 200 used basses of the same model, color, etc? I mean, you can't just put them up on the TB classified!

Not really so odd if you're talking about flats. Most of my basses wear flats, and I'll go for years without changing them. Even with rounds, I like them better after they've been on for awhile (although admittedly, not as long as flats!)

Right now in the house 46 that are bought(some given) and 12 I made. There is another 40+ bodies and necks that need to be restored or assembled.Spent most of the winter buying Blanks mostly maple .just need to get my rump in gear to start putting some basses together and cutting out some bodies. I'm a huge 50s P-bass guy and 60s Jazz guy thats what I style almost all of my bodies after.
