Who plugs straight in? What do you use?

Stock Epiphone Thunderbird IV bass directly into a Trace Elliot GP7 Series 6 2x10 (red stripe model) combo amp. Occasionally I'll have my Boss TU-3 tuner pedal in that mix but most times just bass to amp.

95% of the time it's
bass of the day > Mesa M6 Carbine > Avtar TB153
or
b.o.t.d. > PF500 or LMII > (small 1x12 or 1x215) for smaller gigs

When I bring my pedalboard it's
b.o.t.d. > Korg Pitchblack > MXR Bass Octave > MXR Envelope > Pigtronix EP-1 envelope > DOD Bass Synth Wah > MXR Bass compressor > VT Bass > Boss CH 1 > Mesa M6 Carbine > Avatar TB153

Always a Jule Monique preamp/Crest poweramp and Berg 210 cab(s).

Basses are MTD, Spector and Modulus.... All 5ers.

No effects, just a TC tuner.
Man, things change in just under 2 years!

I went from no effects, to a huge pedal board and now back to no effects. Still playing the Jule and Bergs but my basses have completely changed.

I found a lot of effects was just a pain and I didn't need them. I still like my envelope filter and chorus, but barely use them.

Everything else below has been sold over the last few months except the delay (I like it to fool around on guitar) and the power booster that I may use in the future when gigging an active and a low output passive bass.

Reeves Custom 225 or vintage SVT or vintage Flip Top or a Sunn 200S
Vintage SVT 8X10 with CTS AlNiCos or cabs loaded with EV 15"s or 18"

Vintage Jazz Bass, P-Bass, PJ, Hofner, Rick 4001/4003
Some of the new semi-hollow basses sound great too, but I prefer Flat Wounds or Nylon Wraps.
Round Wounds for some material, but only with stainless steel frets.

Either one of my basses goes directly to the input of my Ampeg PF800. I tried using a Bass XCiter, but the more powerful amp it's linked to, the more diminishing the returns are on the unit. My status will change once I sell the XCiter; my previous amp had a built in chorus that, though unlike a CEB-3, was more than adequate, and I need a chorus pedal.

MTD Kingston Heir 4, Mesa Big Block 750, out to two Mesa cabs, a PH410 and a PH212. My tuner is in the Tuner circuit...not in line from my bass. Sometimes, depending on the venue, I use a Shure PGX wireless, no pad.

That's it...550W @ 4 ohms...Power and Tone. Sounds incredible, move tons of air and shakes everything apart.
