Yamaha bb450. Traynor Mono Block II. Tune before each set with some kind of cool Crome looking tuner. Gain on full. Volume on 3. Dirty and loud enough to ruffle my pants.

GB Shuttle 6.2 into a Neox212t for the bar gigs. Never used anything other than a tuner. At the church gig straight into a Countryman DI and through something thats way too much money. I bought a VTbass deluxe a while back but could never make it work in the mix. I'm completely happy with being pedal free now.......if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I use a Snark tuner on the headstock when the bass first comes out of its case or off the stand and usually put it on top of the amp for the rest of the night. Upright or electric go directly into an Acoustic USA 360M. No need for anything else. I don't recall the last time I needed to tune anything during a show or a rehearsal.

I've played for quite some time using a Carvin LB75 and a Vovox 6m cable into whatever DI was on stage.
On the good stages with sidefills or sufficient monitor cabs, that was a blast. No Schlep.
