See, that's what I wanted to know also . . . even on my highest score, 85% of missed ones fell behind the beat.

Most modern/popular music (Rock, Jazz, Blues, Soul R&B) is behind the beat... "The Back Beat" unlike music with the beat ahead... march music, polka's, etc.

This was interesting. I averaged about 890 and peaked at 913 but where I hit the beat had a huge variation depending on the type of music I played in my head. I was a tuba player in band and so if I played a march in my head I was consistantly before the beat. If I played the bassline off anything modern (I will survive/ Another one bites the dust, made up some polyrhythm trance beat) I was consistantly behind the beat.

Edit: And the hogh score happened with a simple 1+2+3+4+ count

Being ahead of, or behind the beat doesn't seem to matter, which is a good idea. Even playing the "and's" between gives you a good score, as long as the taps are equally spaced.

It would be nice to set a different timing, I suck at slow tempos.

Moody, you know that the beat only counts you in and then fades out, right? There is no sound during the test at all. I did it a few times on mute by tapping to the countdown numbers and my scores were pretty much the same as with the sound up. Not arguing at all, just wondering what point you are making by muting.

Yes I do know. But people are being put off by the count on the screen, you can actually use it.
