Have owned 5 basses. No Fender or even one of the many Fender clones. I played a P bass once when I sat in for a few songs with a local band. Hated every aspect of it. I suppose I could try again but why bother? I like what I have. On the other hand, except for my Roland Bass Cube, all of the many amps and cabs I've owned and still use are Fenders.

Never had. Too many others out there, I like more.
Does an early model G&L count? After all Leo was building them at that time.

But I did stay in a Holiday Inn once.

J, what pickups/Electronics do you have on that baby? Really nice finish on the body BTW. A real nice looker!
Oh, the electronics are passive. 500k volume pot, no load tone pot, and my Slap Button (mini toggle switch wired to the bridge pickup. Pickup wired to volume with my split.)

The recent post about brands that you've not held or played made me realize that I've not owned a Fender bass which is a bit surprising as they are so common and I would think most players do or would have. Ive played a small amount but not that many actually. This isnt hating on Fender btw.

So, who has not owned a Fender bass?
I've played lots, but I don't like them enough to buy one.
