As long as he wears pads, helmet, and wrist guards, he should be good. And I agree, we want Sheldon to stay in one piece - one of my fav peeps.

I'm a Stambaugh devotee.
I got to try out an Adamovic recently and was quite impressed.
Not actually a double reverse P.
The two middle coils are a normal P pickup. The second P pickup is spilt do the D&G coils are in front (on the neck side) and the E&A coils are behind (on the bridge side) and the blend control blends the inner coils (standard P) with the outer coils.

Okay, on first reading, that seemed bizarre, but I think I see the logic behind it: A regular P sounds cool, but there is a noticeable difference going from the loose-sounding E/A coil to the tighter sounding D/G coil. A reverse P tightens up the low strings and smooths that transition out, but it's still there and, arguably, you lose a bit of the classic P-vibe. This would let you keep that while gradually blending in a much tighter-sounding coil on the low strings and a much warmer-sounding coil on the high strings. Still, I'd have to see/hear/touch/play it myself! Really intriguing -- any clips, Fuzzbass? Seems like you could wire this up to switch between the configuration described above and the double-reverse-P I mentioned. Whether that would offer any advantage or not, I don't know. Cool idea, for sure!

Fodera for me as dealing with them is just a great experience and IMO they are making some of the best basses available.

Marco Cortes of Marco Bass Guitars is a master. Looks, feel, and definitely sound.
Jens Ritter makes beautiful basses as well. Never played one but they are just gorgeous.

Benevente , conklin, or warwick. Tonally i want something similar to my old warwick thumb nt but in a bolt on. But i do like the better balance of the conklins(no neck dive and the erb options of benevente and conklin. I saw a benevente DCD with sunburst and tort gaurd an thought it was the nicest looking bass I've seen yet. Great marriage of classic meets modern. If i went warwick id probably go for a different body shape than the thumb but similar woods and pickup location and electronics of the thumb nt to try to get that sound in a better balanced instrument.
