That's like buying 4 sets of strings and getting a free bass.
You KNOW Peaveys are good when a guy is comparing their "weaknesses" to a Fodera.

LOL!!! You have no idea what you're talking about.
So your contention is that the one with the wood that's WIDER than the neck is ... cheaper?![]()

maturenesa recently bought a Palaedium that needed a truss rod adjustment. He started a thread complaining about that (looks like that thread has been deleted). Several people piped in and told him to take it to a shop and get a decent setup. For some reason, that seems to have put a chip on his shoulder. Yet though he doesn't understand the basic mechanics of setting up a guitar, he feels qualified to lecture on what "quality" neck through construction is.![]()
Oh I get it, your a Fender fan, but the pictures you posted had nothing to do with the neck through design part of what you quoted.
Apparently you didn't read the information I provided for you.
or

Fodera opts to have their 4 string neck thru be the same width.
Peavey does not.
'Cheap'?? Well, yeah.... all the inexpensive neck-thrus (Washburn, Cort, etc) seem to have one neck-thru body width for all their instruments while Fodera, Ken Smith and the rest of the high-end makers have different widths for different necks.
It makes sense. One neck sandwich making machine, then CNC down to whatever width you need while not having to change the 'wings' or any other component of the build. It's how the customer can spend $500 instead of $4000.
and by the way...that Sarzo on the previous page is amazing!

Totally false. I dont own any Peavey bass, just tried them. I own two custom neck though basses and i set up my basses since 1991. Go and talk with any builder about neck through construction... You dont know anything about building a bass and is just funny how you make statements like "Peavey construction quality is better than any Fender"
Don't try to change the subject. You posted the thread, and what you're saying now doesn't match your own words.

That's a good way to look at it. When you compare a bass that you can buy for a few hundred to bass you'd be paying thousand for it's a case of making the cheaper bass the recipient of a cloaked compliment.
.
No, the other is better constructed
