Why are old Peaveys so cheap?

$99.99 :hyper:

If this were an all Black Fury (painted neck), it would already be mine !

I'm still considering buying this but, I already own 15 USA PEAVEYS ! :bassist:

Damn, already sold, I was gonna buy it!

I have a all maple neck US Fury and its wider front to back (thicker) than the neck on my US Milly. I will say the two basses are tonally completely different. You can get a lot of great tones from the Milly, but a good precision sound probably not. If you prefer the precision sound go for a US Fury. Good luck.

Good to know. I've always wanted a P of some kind. Too bad the one listed here was already sold, but there will inevitably be another someday!

I bought a T-20 off Ebay for $125, absolutely awesome beast, I refurbed it for a Christmas Charity I donate instruments to. Peaveys are always great choices for low cost and high quality. I have an original Zodiac(p style) I decided to mod and keep. Great toy for the jam nights.

Love the "Aztec" gold foundation, especially with maple fretboard. I've been looking for one for years. For some reason I thought the color name was Inca Gold. BTW paid $200 for my T40 in immaculate condition.

Maybe it is called "Inca Gold" :D

I just bought it for the color, love it for the sound !

Does anyone have a PINK or coral Foundation ?

Don't have one but I've seen at least one Foundation (and some Dynas) in the finish I think you're refering to. Is it called "Rose Pink"? That one is at the top of my hit list! ;)

I have a 1991 Foundation 5 with the Super Ferrites and an S1 pickup mod. Had it professionally set up too. I really have not found a better playing bass under $1500. As good as, prettier, sexier, but not better. I get constant compliments on my tone too. I will probably never sell it because it is worth way more than what I could ever get for it. Many times more. What gives with the under valuation of these old basses? Hell, I only paid $200 for the thing.

I don't know; it's a mystery.

That gold/maple one was my first Foundation. Turns out it was previously owned by a few TB members. I bought it off ebay on a whim about 6 years ago for $175. Fell in love with every aspect of it.

To be honest, I don't know how these things escaped my attention when they were brand new. My local shop was a Peavey dealer back then, but I never gave them a second glance.
