Why Bass is the best instrument

Jack White uses pedals and synths to simulate a Bass. It's not a bass but it fills the same role.
The Stripes rock, White is a modern guitar god, and its not played with a bass. its played with a guitar with an octaver pedal and tuned all sorts of weird.
Also, there isnt a "best" instrument. They are all instruments, made to help us create music.
But damn me if its not my FAVOURITE instrument.
Without bass, you would have the eqivalent of an open faced sandwich. Still tasty, but missing something. 
Amen. It will sound horribly cheesy, but I do admit I am proud and honoured of having chosen the bass on my own will (i.e. realizing how amazing it is, rather than being that pitiful "bassist-because-sucks-at-guitar" dude). I love basses, I think they're sexy looking, I enjoy playing the heck out of them (I even enjoy the blisters; they hurt, but hurt good as when your muscles hurt from a good workout session) and they make my innards dance (almost literally).
Why bass is the best instrument: because it's overlooked by the masses, but, unbeknownst to them, it is what make them shake the booty. Oh, someone said this before, I just reiterate it.
