Why do I have to want a P...

I beg to differ. Modern updates are ALWAYS an improvement to an original.

Templar has sure been weened on the Fender Kool-Aid. Wow!

Uh huh. I guess the facts are hard to swallow when you realize they are from the Bass 101 course that some folks didn't bother to show up for, eh?

Turn on your TV set and try to figure out why so many artists are playing Fender gear. Y'know, the ones who get paid well for their services. Or are they just still wallowing in ignorance, yet to realize that they don't really understand why they use the gear that they do? Hopefully one day they'll snap out of their Kool-aide fugue and wake up to.....what?

well, not sure how much he can win while dead. Maybe him and Hitler get royalty points in hell. I think Rev. Jones has some catching up to do...

I concede your point that Jim Jones rates as a hobbyist when judged relative to Hitler.
As for your more provocative contention that the dead ipso facto cannot be winners.... Well, I hate to concede it, because it makes everyone a
loser, ultimately. You set an impossible standard, in other words.

It's just the herd mentality........ like the way everyone wants a Harley. There a bikes that are, cheaper, faster, better handling, ride better, more powerful, more comfortable, yet that's what folks think they want. Go figure. Enjoy your Jazz!

All hype aside, go play one and decide if you like the neck, the tone, etc. Don't buy before you try, it is a lot different than your Jazz. I prefer mine over my jazz but I like the neck better. Oh and get some Dunlop super brights for it too if you get one.

Well, everyone dies so it becomes a moot point. Jones is pretty much a forgotten icon - I'm willing to bet that most who use the catch phrase don't even know the origin. And at some point he'll be just another maniac on a wikipedia list.

btw, I hear that Dead Ipso Facto might be playing Glastonbury next year.
