Why do so many drummers wear Kangol Hats????

I wear them. I call them "Pappy LaGouch" hats. They keep the sweat out of my eyes, which is I think why drummers probably wear them too. I also don't look as silly in them as I do say a cowboy hat or a Indiana Jones hat. They are dressier than a baseball cap. The nylon knit ones are easy to keep clean too.
 
I think this thread is trying to blur the kangol hat effect. We all know it reserved for bass players. At least here in Europe it THE stereotype. And it must always be turned around for that jazz fusion tone.
 
Don't tell Tommy Shelby his hat's not cool.

Drummers probably wonder why so many bassist wear porkpies.
I hate hats ........ (migraine related)
My first cousins husband is also a bassplayer and wears porkpies, and yes, I torment him mercilessly for it!
