Why is everyone selling their LDS cabs?

Looking from afar, nothing much seems to have great resale value in the US.

Regarding "prominence". It's like that when I'm looking at buying a new car, all of a sudden they are everywhere I look. I wasn't looking at them before so I didn't notice them.

Speaker cabinets, in general, don't seem to have great resale value for some reason.

Funny, I've been rethinking my entire rig. I always have liked the sound of bag end cabs. Haven't heard one in years. 1-15, weighs 44 lbs, and 103db 1w/1m sensitivity. I'm not racing...perhaps more proceeding cautiously.

No more buying over the internet based on reviews for me. Basses or cabs. First hand knowledge only.

Sometimes I have to buy from afar. I exchange an agreement in writing if not from a shop, of a 24-36 hr. approval period. I return it in original condition for a full refund. I am out the shipping costs at least one way. In all my years it's only happened a few times. Either there was something wrong with the item or it just wasn't right for me.

There is a bass I would know nothing about if I hadn't had it shipped to me. I would have had just the selection of local stores or sellers when there is a whole world out there. Our bass only store hadn't arrived yet. (Jive Sound)

You request this agreement from individuals selling used gear???

Yes. Before the Internet it was common to ship vintage, new and used stuff with 24 hour approval. You couldn't touch it. Were it in a store you touch a bass and know its not right for you.

I had a Noel Redding Jazz sent to me. It had the characteristic neck bump but this couldn't be straightened out by my tech, so I sent it back.

It covers for a sorry &$$ pack job too.
No damage outside the box and you find the gear in one corner of the carton sharing the space with 10 packing peanuts.


If they can't stand behind it, buy it somewhere else.

Wow. I would certainly refund a buyers money if a used item I sold was damaged or not as described, but I certainly wouldn't agree to a return if the buyer simply decided it wasn't for him.....

I'm selling my LDS cabs to buy another flavor LDS cab.
Don is a class act and his build quality is on par with the best.

And I bought this LDS cab to try something new, selling off my RS210. Also, I was looking for a nice looking cab that will fit in my office/studio. This one in particular, is just the size I need and looks beautiful! I think it's a "Deb spec" 12/6 with the wine tolex and rattan grill... I'm stoked to hear it.

I'll probably sell it one day. None of my cabs have made it past the 2 year mark.... EVER.
