WHY ME!?!?!?!?!

Of course, this would just HAVE to happen to me, why can't I get something without something being wrong with it?

Hey, your young and inexperienced. Things like this happen all the time, more often today because the low quality out sourcing of labor/parts to China. And it's just not amps/cabs that have problems.

I suggest next time you buy some equipment, log to TB before you buy it and get some opinions.

I used to get that with my Hartke 7000 head.
Cold solder? Took it to repair shop.
They found nothing.
I never did get rid of the intermittent problem.
Changed amps.
If all else fails get them to replace it.

My mom bought me my first bass (Memphis P-Bass copy, 3-color burst w/ Maple and Tort p'guard), when I was doing my dangdest to get failed out of a prep school. I think she saw that the standard procedure was just not working for me, and she knew I had a musical disposition. Saved me, it did. Gave me something I could live to do! Yay Mom!

Good luck with the amp.

Well, atleast, thats what I'm hoping it is.. Unless it was pure unluck that it didn't make the noise at the store

Murphy's not that good. Nope, you'll be rockin' in a minute- going through all that disturbing business of hearing yourself in a band, going back home and listening to Jack Bruce or John Paul-Jones (you are listening to John Paul-Jones, aren't you?...) and discovering, with horror, all the practicing, hard work and hard listening you've got ahead of you to sound like what you're hearing! :hyper:

Good for you man, play your bass!

What? :eyebrow:

My gig is 1969-70 covers. My last band if we were in a LZ mood the play list would start with Good Times Bad Times and finish with Hats off to Harper... We only did that once. Never met John Paul Jones in person. BOB
